Education Foundation

The Rock Hill Schools Education Foundation is a non-profit that supports the Rock Hill Schools.  Peggy and Alice have both served on the board.  While Peggy was on the board they raised funding through an annual Arts Celebration to provide Teacher Grants and started the Back the Pack program which feeds hungry kids on the weekend.  Peggy encouraged Alice to join as her term was ending.  Alice served over 9 years on the board, during which time she helped to redesign the annual fundraiser from a $25,000 event to a $150,000 event.  She also helped to rebrand the board, restructure, and hire the first ever Executive Director.

The annual report just came out for 2019-2020 that touches on the things the foundation supports:
Back the Pack
Educator Grants
Student Celebrations
Principal for a Day
Football City USA event
and more!

Our family believes that education is key!  K-12 leads to Higher Education, which in turn leads to success!  College is not the only Higher Education needed to be successful, but the key to Higher Education is to keep on learning no matter where it is or how you learn!  So many students in the Rock Hill Schools don't get this opportunity to learn the same way that our family does during their K-12 years, some don't eat while at home, have unstable homes, or might even live in an abusive situation.  Through supporting the mission of the Ed Foundation we are able to help the teachers help those kids and help feed those children that need it most so they can focus on learning and getting to the next step of their education!
