Come-See-Me Community Service Award

In 2014 Peggy was a Merritt Winner at the Rock Hill Come-See-Me Festival.  Here is what they had to say: Peggy Williams has devoted many hours of volunteer service to the Rock Hill Community through supporting organizations such as the Boys & Girls Clubs of York County, the Red Cross, Hospice & Community Car, the Rock Hill School District, and the Arts Council.  She is particularly invested in the children of this community.  Peggy has focused much of her efforts to the Palmetto School at The Children's Attention Home, where she gives lots of time, energy, and financial support of her own, while also encouraging others to do so.  Her passion for this school, which can clearly be seen through all the fundraising endeavors she has made, has inspired others to join the board, continuing to drive the school, and the youth of Rock Hill, to success.

Likewise, in 2007, Gary was named a Merritt Winner.  This is what they had to say about him:

Gary Williams
is the recipient of the Beaver Award, the highest honor given to a volunteer by the Boy Scouts for his leadership, service and mentorship. He was also honored as York County Chamber of Commerce Business Person of the Year. He has served as a member of the Rock Hill School Board and was the recipient of the South Carolina Department of Education State Volunteer Award. Gary has provided technology staff assistance at Boys and Girls’ Club, has donated computers and security systems to A Place for Hope and serves as a mentor for Sunset Park Elementary School. Most recently he has extended his business expertise and fundraising experience to the York County Cultural and Heritage Commission. Gary has been described as “leading by example,” a man of integrity who genuinely cares about the people around him.

In 2023 Alice was named a Merritt Award Winner as well:
Nominated by Chris Miller with WRHI, he said...Alice is the Director of Foundation and Community Support for Williams & Fudge in Rock Hill. While her job is to oversee community outreach and philanthropic giving for the business her family founded, her personal mission of giving and supporting others throughout this community extends so far beyond her day job. As a native of Rock Hill, if you say Alice’s name, you’ll likely find an individual or a group who has been touched by her lasting impact. Alice is a member of and has chaired numerous area boards, commissions, and giving initiatives, including the Rock Hill Schools Education Foundation, York County Maxabilites, Miracle Park, and the York County Community Foundation/Foundation of the Carolinas. Most recently, she has served as a deacon at Oakland Baptist Church as well as Vice-Chair of Rock Hill’s ChristmasVille event. Alice’s contributions to our community are certain to have lasting effects on the organizations she supports.
